Overview
Lexington Sporting Club is a newly established professional football club that joined USL League One in 2023.
In preparation for its professional debut this March, LSC needed to develop its identity on and off the pitch, embed its philosophy through its new teams, and recruit technical and playing staff to fit. The first team are halfway through their inaugural season with players receiving a higher level of detail than they've previously experienced.
Brief
Support the LSC board and Sporting Director to research and advise during preparation for their USL League One debut. The primary goals are to:
- Build the framework for the Performance Analysis and Recruitment departments
- Ensure the game model is integrated across functions
- Understand what it takes to win in USL League One
- Research effective recruitment strategies for the market
- Operate a league-leading Performance and Recruitment Analysis department through the season
We conducted thorough research and collaborated with LSC's Sporting Director and Head Coach to set priorities.
We set up custom data collection services alongside available third-party data to gather vital information specific to the club to deepen understanding.
Our technical proficiency allowed us to boost productivity and develop a Performance Hub that aligns data from first-team to academy for staff and players to access.
Lex Sporting required expertise and resource to empower coaches and players with valuable information. We deliver detailed opposition analysis, supported by data and video, with tactical considerations to guide LSC to success.
Skylab captures best-practice examples so the playing philosophy is communicated throughout the club.
We save time whilst building a comprehensive training library by analysing examples of play in training allowing for staff to reinforce messages to the players. The examples are used by academy and community coaches, so the playing philosophy is communicated throughout.
Our deliverables prepare staff for their matches and training where we deliver detailed analysis, backed up with data and video.
